Resolved Question: If u saw a dead girl in the river, would u get the cops? Or keep on fishing?

I saw the movie 'Jindabyne' the other night with Laura Linney in it. 4 guys go fishing in the mountains and see a dead girl in the river. But instead of getting the cops right away they spend the weekend fishing. Their wives and the media find out and everyone goes on the attack against them. The men tried to reason with their wives but they wouldn't listen. Just nag nag nag. What were they supposed to do? They couldn't get down the mountain b4 dark so the cops couldn't get there until Sunday anyway. There was only a days difference! She was in the water so no forensics and she wasn't going anywhere. Why were the wives so naggy? HOW can they call the police immediately? They're on a mountain out of cell range. Duhhh Like I said they couldn't call anyone as they weren't in range.
